DeepLake Diet - Eating out
Whenever you're eating out, there's a far bigger temptation to over-indulge or eat
unhealthily. With our guide to eating out, you can eat out without the guilt and still
have a nice meal.
First of all, you shouldn’t worry too much—it’s OK to be naughty sometimes!
Secondly though, with a little thought when you order, you can still stay within
the limits of the diet. Here are some tips to try:
try having just a starter rather than a main course
go for a healthy salad, but request it without any dressings and minimal cheese
try to avoid any creamy or mayonnaise-based sauces
avoid deep-fried or battered items—try to go for bread-crumbed or grilled instead
if you’re having a pizza, many pizza restaurants now offer pizzas with half the
cheese, greatly reducing their fat content. 'Deep pan' or thicker base pizzas also
tend to have more fat.
try sharing a meal with someone if you know portions are large.
You don't have to say that you're on a diet--just say that you're not feeling very hungry.
Remember that full sugar carbonated drinks and fruit juices are high in calories.
Why not try soda water with lime or another low calorie option?

If you’re just looking for somewhere for a quick lunch with some friends or work
colleagues, why not try Subway? Subway have a great range called "7 under 6", in other
words, 7 sandwiches with 6 grams of fat or less. To make sure you get the most out of
going to Subway, don’t let your 'sandwich artist' smother your sub in mayonnaise.
Instead, try sweet onion sauce—it’s very low in calories and fat. Try to avoid cheese,
and as always, bulk up on vegetables. Honey oat bread is usually your best bet too.
Be sensible if you’re drinking full sugar carbonated drinks like Coke and Sprite--drink
500 ml at most.
